Jack White & Stephen Colbert

My obsession with The White Stripes is leaning towards 2 years now. Well, not The White Stripes themselves, but their music. I cannot seem to compare their music to anyone else's. The White Stripes are original, fresh, one-of-a-kind.
Former lead guitarist and singer Jack White, has made a record deal with Stephen Colbert (also one-of-a-kind). Stephen Colbert, trying to revive his music career from his one hit wonder, Charlene (I'm Right Behind You), set up an interview with Jack White. Jack White owns a music production company, Third Man Records. Through a series of awkward conversations Stephen finally convinces Jack to produce him. Jeck pairs Stephen with The Black Belles. And that is where the magic happens...
Here is the link to the first interview in the series, 2011: A Rock Odyssey

The Children Are Our Future, Right?

What should I do with my life? Let's see. What do kids dream of doing when they are young? When they are being told that they can do anything they want.
Should I be an astronaut? No. Most funding for NASA has been cut off. Should I be a firefighter? Nope. Do you know how much risking your life for the sake of other people costs? Not very much. Should I be a vet? I do not think so. If I love animals so much, why would I want to see them suffer, when people expect me to be the one to heal them. Oooo, here is a good one, a scientist? But, I doubt I could do that with the education system the way it is these days! An airplane pilot? Well, I would not get much out of that, now would I? It is more of a hobby, in my opinion. Don't you think?
I mean, for god's sake, mom and dad! Look at the world around you!

Arcade Fire Gets a Grammy

My mouth dropped wide open when the winner of Album of the Year was announced at the Grammys... Arcade Fire's album, The Suburbs! Over Lady Gaga, Justin Beiber, and Katy Perry! Wow, wow, wow!
Raise your hands in the air for reasonable taste, then use one of them to slap popularity in the face!
